Powered by the Chaffin Luhana Foundation, 10k Sandwiches was created as a direct response to the lack of meals being provided to school children, which could be the only guaranteed meal of the day.
The school year being cut short due to COVID-19 has posed an issue for many struggling families, and Chaffin Luhana was determined to help. Standing by their guiding principle, “Doing Good by Doing Right,” the firm was searching for a way to do good for their community during this particularly difficult time.
The Chaffin Luhana Foundation partnered with a New York City based deli meats distributor, Nations Best Deli Meats, to help get food to families that needed it the most. By ordering 2,500 pounds of deli meat, the Chaffin Luhana Foundation was able to help some struggling local business vendors in the service industry, as well as prepare and deliver 10k sandwiches to individuals in need.
